Germination Information: I recommend these only for patient gardeners who have experience handling challenging seeds with multi-cycle germination patterns (in this case, warm-cold-warm, so figure it will probably take two years to get any germination). Sow about 1/2 inch deep in an outdoor pot or a nursery bed whenever you get them so they can eventually germinate when conditions are right. Or, you could try to speed up the process by keeping the seeds warm and moist for 3 to 4 months, then provide an artificial chilling period for another 3 to 4 months before moving them back to warmth; I’ve not tried that, though. Honestly, these are not easy seeds to have luck with. But I can tell you that my trees came to me as babies from a neighbor who finds self-sown seedlings under his long-established trees, so it is possible! Note that this information will not appear on the seed packet you receive. Please read the description as well before ordering.
